Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, maple syrup, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper. Whisk until fully blended.
  2. Slice the tofu into thin rectangles and place in a dish. Pour the marinade over the tofu and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Optionally add oil to create a crispy layer.
  4. Add the marinated tofu slices to the skillet and cook for 3-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to absorb excess moisture. Cool briefly before slicing.
