- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Combine tomato passata, extra virgin olive oil, minced garlic, and dried Italian mixed herbs in a mixing jar.
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook ziti according to the package instructions, but for one minute less than directed.
- Mix ricotta cheese, grated parmesan, drained frozen spinach, salt, and black pepper in a mixing bowl until smooth.
- Combine cooked ziti with the ricotta mixture and transfer it into a greased baking dish.
- Pour the prepared sauce over the pasta mixture and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for about 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes, then serve hot, optionally garnished with fresh basil.
