Cooking Instructions
- Start by bringing 4 quarts of water to a rolling boil in a large pot over high heat. Once boiling, add 2 tablespoons of salt to the water.
- Carefully add the spaghetti to the boiling water and cook for 8-10 minutes until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
- In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 1-2 minutes.
- Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic oil. Add reserved pasta water gradually if needed.
- Stir in chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese. Adjust seasoning with salt if needed.
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic for the garlic bread, parsley, Parmesan, and garlic powder. Mix until smooth.
- Slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise and spread the garlic butter mixture on both sides.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden and crispy. Broil for an additional 1-2 minutes if desired.
- Remove from oven, let cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve.
