Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a large pot, bring a generous amount of salted water to a rolling boil. Add your chosen pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain the pasta in a colander—do not rinse.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, heat a tablespoon of olive oil. Add the sliced sausage and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pieces are golden brown and caramelized on the edges.
- Reduce the heat to low and add minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for about 1 minute, stirring constantly until the garlic becomes fragrant but not burnt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and optional red pepper flakes. Pour this flavorful mixture into the skillet with the sausage and garlic. Stir well.
- Allow the sauce to simmer for 2-3 minutes over low heat, stirring gently until it thickens and glazes the sausage pieces.
- Add your drained pasta to the skillet with the sauce mixture. Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated. Heat for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Transfer to plates and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve hot.
