Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Pat the beef chuck roast dry and rub it with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Optional: Sear the roast in a skillet with olive oil for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  3. Transfer the roast to the Crockpot and pour the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce over it.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours until the beef is tender and easily shreds.
  5. Shred the beef and stir it into the juices in the Crockpot.
  6. Prepare the hoagie rolls, optionally broiling them with provolone cheese until melted.
  7. Assemble the sandwiches with shredded beef and serve with au jus for dipping, garnished with parsley.
