Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and prepare your baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
- Peel off the tough membrane from the back of the baby back pork ribs and place them bone-side down on the lined baking sheet.
- Mix garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, cumin, and optional chili or cayenne pepper. Drizzle olive oil over the ribs and apply the dry rub.
- Cover the seasoned ribs tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 2 hours.
- In the last 5 minutes of baking, mix the barbecue sauce ingredients in a bowl to meld the flavors.
- After 2 hours, uncover the ribs, brush them with barbecue sauce, increase the oven temperature to 460°F (240°C), and bake uncovered for 10 minutes.
- Switch to broil and cook for an additional 3 minutes for extra char, watching closely.
- Let the ribs rest for about 10 minutes, then cut between the bones and serve warm.
