Burger Mixture
  • 1 can Chickpeas rinsed and drained
  • 2 large Eggs or 1 tbsp flaxseed meal mixed with 2.5 tbsp water for vegan
  • 1 tbsp Hot Pepper Sauce adjust to taste
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp Smoked Paprika or regular paprika
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt or table salt
  • 1 cup Sun-Dried Tomatoes chopped
  • 1 tbsp Rosemary fresh or dried
  • 1 cup Italian Parsley chopped
  • 1 medium Onion diced
  • 1 medium Red Bell Pepper diced
  • 1 cup Feta Cheese crumbled or cashew-based for vegan
  • 1 cup Bread Crumbs gluten-free if necessary
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil for cooking

  • Fresh Veggies such as lettuce, tomato slices

Preparation Steps
  1. Prepare the Chickpeas: Rinse and drain chickpeas. Pulse half in a food processor until coarse, then transfer to a mixing bowl.
  2. Blend the Batter: Combine remaining chickpeas, eggs, hot pepper sauce, garlic, paprika, turmeric, and salt in the processor. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Mix in Flavorful Ingredients: Add sun-dried tomatoes, rosemary, parsley, onion, bell pepper, feta, and breadcrumbs to the bowl. Fold together until combined.
  4. Shape the Burgers: Form the mixture into 10 equal patties, about ½ inch thick, and place on a breadcrumb-dusted plate.
  5. Heat the Skillet: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  6. Cook the Burgers: Cook patties for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
  7. Drain and Serve: Transfer cooked burgers to paper towels to absorb excess oil before serving.
