Method
 

Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together 500g strong white bread flour, 7g fast action dried yeast, 50g caster sugar, and a pinch of salt.
  2. In a saucepan, heat 250ml whole milk and 50g unsalted butter until melted. Remove from heat and cool slightly, then stir in 1 tsp vanilla extract and 2 large eggs.
  3. Pour the warm milk mixture into the bowl of dry ingredients and stir until a sticky dough forms.
  4. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a towel, and allow it to rise for 1.5-2 hours.
  6. After rising, press the dough down, divide into portions, and shape each into balls.
  7. Heat 1 liter of vegetable oil, maintaining a temperature of 170-180°C for frying.
  8. Fry the donuts in batches for 1.5-2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  9. Transfer fried donuts to a towel-lined plate and toss in caster sugar.
  10. Allow donuts to cool slightly before filling with 200g strawberry jam.
