  • 1 cup kataifi (shredded phyllo dough) can be replaced with finely chopped phyllo
  • 0.25 cups butter use plant-based butter for dairy-free
  • 0.5 cups pistachio cream can substitute with homemade pistachio paste
For the Chocolate Topping
  • 8 oz milk or semi-sweet chocolate bar avoid chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cups heavy cream table cream preferred

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. Whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. In another bowl, combine egg, vanilla, milk, and oil, then mix in hot coffee.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry and mix until just combined. Pour into the pan.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in the pan for a few minutes.
  6. Toast kataifi in butter until golden, then mix with pistachio cream.
  7. Melt chocolate with heavy cream in the microwave until smooth.
  8. Spread pistachio filling on cooled cake and pour the chocolate topping over it.
