  • ¼ cup Pecorino Romano Cheese Grated; Parmesan can be used as a substitute.
  • 2 tablespoons Italian Parsley Finely chopped; can replace with chives.
For the Sandwich
  • 4 slices Bread Opt for sturdy types like sourdough or Italian.
  • 4 slices American Cheese Can swap for mozzarella, cheddar, or provolone.

Instructions
  1. Prepare the Garlic Butter Mixture by blending unsalted butter, minced garlic, grated Pecorino Romano cheese, and chopped Italian parsley in a small bowl.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread with the garlic butter mixture.
  3. Assemble the sandwich with 2 slices of buttered bread, 2 slices of American cheese, and top with another slice of buttered bread.
  4. Heat the non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  5. Cook the sandwiches in the skillet for about 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.
  6. Flip the sandwiches and cook the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  7. Let the sandwiches rest for a minute before slicing and serve warm.
