Step-by-Step Instructions for Fresh Strawberry Mint Lemonade
  1. In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and a handful of fresh mint leaves. Heat over medium until it reaches a low boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Let it simmer for 1 minute, then remove from heat and cover. Allow it to steep for 30 minutes.
  2. While the mint syrup is steeping, prepare the strawberries. In a blender, combine 1 cup of fresh strawberries with ¼ cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Blend until smooth, then strain through a fine mesh sieve if preferred.
  3. In a large pitcher, combine the strawberry puree with the remaining lemon juice and add 2 to 3 cups of cold water. Stir well to blend the flavors together.
  4. Strain out the mint leaves from the syrup and add it to the pitcher, adjusting sweetness to your taste. Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours.
  5. When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice, pour the chilled lemonade, and garnish with lemon slices, mint sprigs, and whole strawberries.
