  • 12 rolls Sweet Rolls Hawaiian rolls preferred
  • 10 slices Provolone Cheese Or mozzarella/cheddar
  • 14 ounces Sliced Deli Roast Beef Leftover pot roast can be substituted
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Dried Onion Soup Mix Or French onion dip seasoning
  • 1 packet Au Jus Gravy Mix Or homemade beef broth
  • 3 cups Water For preparing au jus
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Chopped Parsley Optional garnish

Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions for French Dip Sliders
  1. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onion and cook for 12-15 minutes until caramelized.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Slice sweet rolls horizontally, keeping them attached at the back. Place bottom halves in baking dish.
  4. Layer with half of the provolone cheese, sliced roast beef, sautéed onions, and remaining provolone.
  5. Top with the roll halves and brush with melted butter mixed with onion soup mix.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake for 5 more minutes.
  7. Combine au jus mix with water in a saucepan and simmer until thickened.
  8. Let sliders cool a few minutes, slice, and serve with au jus.
