  • 1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt Any plain yogurt can substitute.
  • 1/2 cup Water Adjusts batter consistency.
For the Coating
  • 1 cup White Candy Melts Can substitute with dark or colored candy melts.
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable Shortening Optional for a shiny coating.
For Color
  • 1 tbsp Red Food Coloring Gel colors preferred for richer hue.
  • 1 tbsp Blue Food Coloring Gel colors preferred for richer hue.
  • 1 cup Red, White & Blue Sprinkles Any seasonal sprinkles can work.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease baking dishes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the white cake mix, Greek yogurt, and water. Whisk for 2–3 minutes until smooth.
  3. Divide the batter into three bowls and tint one red and one blue, leaving one plain.
  4. Pour the colored batters into greased dishes and bake for 12–15 minutes.
  5. Once cooled, crumble the cakes into fine crumbs.
  6. Scoop and roll the crumbled cake into balls, insert sticks, then chill for 1 hour.
  7. Melt white candy melts with vegetable shortening in the microwave.
  8. Dip each cake ball into the melted coating, letting excess drip off before adding sprinkles.
  9. Stand the dipped pops in a foam block or on a tray and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  10. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
