  • 1 can French Onion Soup
  • 1 cup Sour Cream or substitute with dairy-free yogurt
For the Topping
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese (Mozzarella or Swiss)
  • 1.5 cups French Fried Onions use in mixture and as topping
For Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Chopped Parsley for garnishing

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked rice, shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, French onion soup, sour cream, and shredded cheese. Add 1 cup of French fried onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Transfer the mixture into the greased baking dish, spreading it evenly and leveling the top.
  4. Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for approximately 30 minutes until edges are bubbling.
  5. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with the remaining ½ cup of French fried onions. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Allow to cool slightly, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve warm.
