Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the casserole.
  2. If using fresh green beans, rinse and cut off the ends. Blanch in boiling water for about 2 minutes, then drain and plunge into cold water.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine condensed cream of mushroom soup, milk, and soy sauce. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Add the prepared green beans and two-thirds of the crispy fried onions. Season with pepper and fold gently.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x9-inch casserole dish.
  6. Bake for approximately 25 minutes or air fry for about 10 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven (or air fryer) and sprinkle remaining crispy fried onions on top.
  8. Return to oven for an additional 5 minutes or air fry until onions are golden brown.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
