- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to a rectangular shape, approximately ¼ inch thick.
- Spread the mixed berry preserves evenly over the pastry, leaving a 1-inch border. Brush a mixture of melted butter and vanilla extract over the preserves.
- Slice the pastry into 8 equal strips and twist each strip several times to form spirals.
- Place the twisted strips on the prepared baking sheet, brush each twist with egg wash, and sprinkle granulated sugar on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before serving.
