Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to a rectangular shape, approximately ¼ inch thick.
  3. Spread the mixed berry preserves evenly over the pastry, leaving a 1-inch border. Brush a mixture of melted butter and vanilla extract over the preserves.
  4. Slice the pastry into 8 equal strips and twist each strip several times to form spirals.
  5. Place the twisted strips on the prepared baking sheet, brush each twist with egg wash, and sprinkle granulated sugar on top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  7. Remove from the oven and allow to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before serving.
