Cooking Instructions
- Cook the Pasta by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add 8 oz of pasta and cook until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- Sauté the Aromatics by melting 1 tablespoon of butter or heating 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet. Add minced garlic and diced onion, sauté for 2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add Sauce Ingredients by stirring ¾ cup of tomato passata and 1 teaspoon of dried basil into the skillet. Reduce heat and simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Combine Cream Cheese by adding ½ cup of cream cheese and ¼ cup of Parmesan to the skillet. Stir in the reserved ¼ cup of pasta water until smooth.
- Coat the Pasta by adding the al dente pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. Serve hot with extra Parmesan if desired.
