Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Gather all your ingredients for Garlic Parmesan Rice on a clean countertop.
  2. Rinse 1 cup of long-grain rice under cold running water until the water runs clear.
  3. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat and sauté minced garlic for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Add rinsed rice to the saucepan and toast for about 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Pour in 2 cups of chicken broth, add 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 18–20 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat, let it sit covered for 5 minutes, then fluff the rice and stir in 1/2 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese and 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley.
  7. Transfer to a serving bowl, garnish with extra Parmesan and parsley, and serve warm.
