Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Slice the vanilla bean in half lengthwise and scrape out the tiny seeds. In a small pot, combine the scraped seeds and the whole vanilla bean.
  2. Pour 1 cup of water into the pot with the vanilla and bring it to a boil. Once boiling, steep a black tea bag or loose-leaf tea in the hot water for 5 minutes.
  3. After soaking the tea, remove the tea bag or strain the loose-leaf tea and the whole vanilla bean pod.
  4. Stir in about a teaspoon of sugar or your preferred sweetener into the brewed tea, mixing until it dissolves completely.
  5. In a separate saucepan, heat your choice of milk over low heat until warm. Pour the warm milk over the sweetened tea.
  6. Pour your finished Vanilla Milk Tea into a cozy mug. Optionally, sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg before serving.
