Preparation Steps
- In a small pot, bring 2 cups of water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
- Once boiling, carefully add 4 cinnamon sticks and split vanilla beans (or 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract) to the pot.
- For an aromatic twist, toss in a star anise if you have it.
- Turn off the heat and cover the pot, allowing the mixture to steep for 10 minutes.
- After steeping, add 2 tablespoons of loose-leaf black tea (or 1-2 tea bags) to the infused mixture.
- In a separate pot, gently warm 2 cups of milk over low heat.
- Use a fine mesh sieve to strain the brewed tea and spice infusion into the pot of warm milk.
- Stir in honey or your preferred sweetener to taste.
- Pour your Vanilla Cinnamon Milk Tea into your favorite mugs and enjoy!
