  • 1 cup Fresh herbs like dill or parsley

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of olive oil and heat until shimmering. Toss in one diced onion and cook for 5 minutes until translucent.
  2. Stir in 2-3 minced garlic cloves and sauté for an additional minute until aromatic. Add 4 cups of chopped cabbage and cook for about 7-10 minutes until the cabbage wilts.
  3. Once the cabbage is tender, add 4 cups of cubed potatoes along with salt, pepper, and paprika. Pour in enough water to almost cover the potatoes, then bring to a gentle boil.
  4. Lower the heat to medium-low and cover. Allow to simmer for 20-25 minutes until the potatoes are fork-tender, stirring occasionally.
  5. Once cooked, taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Stir in any optional add-ins and cook for an additional 5 minutes uncovered.
  6. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before transferring to a serving dish.
