  • 1 cup Heavy Cream adds richness to the custard
  • 1/2 cup Maple Syrup or agave syrup or honey as substitutes
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract do not skip for the best taste
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon can replace with nutmeg for a different flavor
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt enhances flavor balance

  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar for dusting before serving
  • 1 cup Whipped Cream for serving

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cut the challah or brioche into bite-sized cubes and spread them evenly in the greased baking dish. Sprinkle fresh blueberries over the top.
  3. Whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, maple syrup, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Pour the custard mixture over the bread and blueberries, pressing down to soak. Let it rest for 30 minutes or overnight in the refrigerator.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
  6. Let cool for a few minutes, slice into squares, and serve warm with powdered sugar and whipped cream.
